I'm in a sewing funk...
I can't believe it has been nearly 2 weeks since my last post. I'd like to be able to write about all the clothes I've been making, but the reality is I'm in a sewing funk. But I do have an idea. What do you guys think?
I'd love to read your comments/thoughts if you're still out there and haven't forgotten about my little blog

About Me
- Rachel
- Hello, I’m Rachel. I started sewing 9 months ago and fell in love with putting together unique clothes for my children to wear. Although I’ve focused mainly on clothes I’m trying to branch out into other crafts. This blog gives a peek into my current projects. Please feel to leave comments or email me questions or ideas at rachel@sewambitious.com. Thanks for visiting!

I think projects like embellishing that shirt with ribbons(so cute) can help with a funk! I need quick projects to satisfy me and keep me motivating as I work on something that will take longer. I started work on an Ice Cream Dress that will take me a while, so to keep from falling into a funk I make smaller projects after each step to get some quicker gratification!
I like the horizontal ribbon. And you've given me an idea for some cute ribbon I have hanging out in my sewing room. Thanks!
Hiya Rachel. Sorry you're experiencing a bit of sewing funk. I am sure you'll bounce back real soon with a renewed zest for sewing. I love that ribbon you're planning on using with that tee. I particularly love the texture of it.
Forget you sweet little blog? NEVER!! How about giving yourself a sewing theme of sorts. Like flowers of all kinds..? Or, using just lace to embellish things...? Can't wait to see what's next! You inspire me!
cute, I love it!!!
I am in the process of trying to sew an apron but am getting very stressed. I like instant gratification myself, and I need fusible interfacing which a.) I have never worked with and b.)have no access to thanks to my podunk little one horse town not having a store to go to. :(
Oh, what I would give to live next to a Joann's.
I think it'll be cute :) I've been trying to find a few ideas for my little one's tee's to make them a little more dressy for church lol I really like your idea :)
Oh the funk is everywhere! What's the deal? But I love the shirt . . . simple, cute and fun!
I'm glad you are back. I was missing you! But, let me tell you that you are not the only one going through a funk. I can't seem to find my motivation lately for anything.
BTW, I think the T-shirt is going to look really cute!!
gosh! This week is funk week!
:D
you, girls, stress to much. Enjoy yourself, take a break, if you don't press yourself it come to you! For real!
trust me!
By the way, I think the ribbons and the lace look really good on that shirt!
I have been in a funk the last two weeks. Hot and humid and no a/c. I finally have it tonight and I have my energy back.
Try some thing different for a while and then you will like sewing again.
I seem to think if your in a sewing funk means that your trying to sew too much and need to stop and spend more time with the ones your sewing for... the ideas will come again when you see new needs for what to make... btw- like the ribbon tee!
The ribbon is great for the tee. I would probably move the bow onto the top ribbon and maybe add some simple lace to hem of the shirt, but that's me.
Dont worry about the sewing funk its good to take break even if you dont think you need one.
Take this time to get inspired and i am sure you will be up and sewing in no time.
I love your blog and look forward to seeing more
Hey, it's Jami. Can't find phone...not that it matters. Daughter #2 sent this phone into the pool last night (not the same phone as two months ago...the next one) I did get your text and yes, We would love to come Friday. (this one or next Friday?) I miss you and yes my tummy really is that big. It's been awhile, my dear! Love ya!

Summer is for funkin' around - if it makes you feel any better, you've made my day knowing I'm not the only one goofing off. Oh, and good idea...
I get the funk thing. Am in a bit of a funk here too. Very rarely blog, we gotta snap outta this! Love the idea, how did it turn out? Isn't something how just a little lace and a sweet little bow can transform a little tee?
