A Matching Pencil Pouch
Thank you, thank you for the positive feedback on the canvas bag I made. It always helps to have others take a look when I find a project difficult to complete. This bag was one of those projects (that lining still gives me nightmares!) So anyhow, I took Janimal and Melissa's advice and pressed and top stitched the bag. I also made a matching pencil pouch. I used Kat @ Ripping out seams' pattern for the pouch. This was my first time working with a zipper so I was a bit nervous about it, but I managed. I'm really trying not to let the different color hair bows bug me too much. I'm pretty content with the end result. What a difference those additions made to the final product. I think it's ready for Isabella's birthday next week. Thank you again for taking the time to take a look and especially for leaving your thoughts :0)

About Me
- Rachel
- Hello, I’m Rachel. I started sewing 9 months ago and fell in love with putting together unique clothes for my children to wear. Although I’ve focused mainly on clothes I’m trying to branch out into other crafts. This blog gives a peek into my current projects. Please feel to leave comments or email me questions or ideas at rachel@sewambitious.com. Thanks for visiting!

I'm so glad you didn't trash that beautiful bag!! Very often, if I spend a long time on a project and have a bit of a struggle with it, I just can't "see" it properly when it's all done and I have to get my family to decide if it's worth keeping or not!
The pencil case is beautiful. You're a talented lady and I'm really pleased I found your blog!
Oh cute cute cute pencil case. Did not even notice the different color bow, then why not a different color? it is a different 'bag'!? Congrats on the zipper! I have yet to work with one. You've given me courage! ha! Thanks! And Good Job!
That is totally girly and adorable! I think the different color bows are just fine--like each 'twin' has her own personality!
Your daughter will love them! I think the different color bows make them more personal!!
