Make your own fabric spray paint - tutorial
A few days ago I came across this awesome graffiti shirt on I am Momma - Hear Me Roar. I rarely do anything for my son so I decided right then and there to make him a graffiti shirt. I checked the supply list and noticed I was missing the fabric spray paint. What's a girl to do, but make her own. As I looked back at the inspiration post I noticed I used the exact same colors, I feel like a total dork! Anyhow, here's how I did it.
I poured a tablespoon of fabric paint and 1/2 teaspoon of water into a small squirt bottle. I shook it really well and practiced a bit on a piece fabric. I tried various water to paint ratios until I got to the perfect consistency. I recommend 1 tablespoon of paint to 1/2 teaspoon of water.
I didn't want to make the shirt exactly the same, so I went to Graffiticreater.net and created a new freezer stencil.
I cut, ironed, and spray painted.
That's it!! Next time I might try mixing up a few colors for a different look. Check out Lil Blue Boo for a different use of fabric spray paint.
