A Frock By Friday and a Mini Refashion
I've decided to participate in Kathleen from Grosgrain's A Frock By Friday. I believe it's set to start either this coming Monday or next Monday. If you've ever wanted to sew a dress for yourself but were a bit intimated by the pattern this is the perfect time to try. Besides providing fantastic step by step instructions, Kathleen will also be answering questions through the comments section on her blog. I think this is going to be so much fun! Now for the mini refashion.
I simply took one of Elizabeth's outgrown dresses and converted it into a skirt. First I removed some of the zipper with a pair of pliers, about an inch above where I wanted the waist to be. Then I cut the top off the skirt. I zigzag stitched the cut edge and pressed. Finally, I sewed with a straight stitch. That's it! Please excuse the horrible pictures, this was a last minute-middle of the night project.

About Me
- Rachel
- Hello, I’m Rachel. I started sewing 9 months ago and fell in love with putting together unique clothes for my children to wear. Although I’ve focused mainly on clothes I’m trying to branch out into other crafts. This blog gives a peek into my current projects. Please feel to leave comments or email me questions or ideas at rachel@sewambitious.com. Thanks for visiting!
