Summer Dress
This past weekend I spent sometime sorting Lizzie's clothes and came upon this dress. This is the second thing I'd ever sewn. Now that I look closely at it I see the imperfections, but I was so happy when it was all complete and she looked so cute in it. This was also the first time I used my serger.
I was surprised that it still fit well enough to run out for an impromptu photo shoot. If you've ever wanted to learn how to sew I highly recommend picking up pdf sewing patterns. They include pictures with the instructions.
I also spent some time learning how to change the settings on my camera. I'm really tired of blurry, overexposed pictures!
By this time she was getting tired of having the camera in her face. She just wanted to sit and watch the ducks.
We picked a bad day to take pictures here, they were setting up for a garden show. I spent a lot of time trying to find a spot which didn't have tents in the background. Can you tell she's had it?!
I've been busy working on a few projects. I hope to post one up tomorrow.

About Me

- Hello, I’m Rachel. I started sewing 9 months ago and fell in love with putting together unique clothes for my children to wear. Although I’ve focused mainly on clothes I’m trying to branch out into other crafts. This blog gives a peek into my current projects.
